In selecting an Estate Agent you are entrusting the sale of possibly your most important asset in the hands of strangers. It is sensible and wise to ensure that you select an agent who is extremely professional and who will hold themselves accountable for their actions.
Membership of the National Association of Estate Agents (N.A.E.A) and The Estate Agency Ombudsman (O.E.A) scheme is a sign that your agent will act according to a code of practice which is approved by the Office Of Fair Trading.
This code ensures all events and actions are communicated to all parties, promptly, in writing. Contracts and terms are easily understood and explained. Your liabilities under the terms of Agreement you have entered in to with the Agent are transparent and fair, with fees clearly expressed in writing.
Written records will be kept of progress not only in securing you a buyer but also and more importantly, during the conduct of the necessary legal work, surveys etc. that will bring you to a successful exchange of contracts.
It is our policy to ensure feedback on all aspects of your sale are regularly given to you, whether it is from yesterdays viewing or weekly updates on marketing.
Our membership of the N.A.E.A and O.E.A. means you have the right to financial compensation should you feel that we have not performed professionally enough in accordance with the code and the ombudsman upholds your claim.
